Writing for online is a whole other experience and skill set.  The web is a new plate-form and it shouldn’t be treated the same as print. Online should have its own style that should be tailored to the audience.  Online writing should include the following.

-Understand your audience wants fast and up to date information.

-Update the articles constantly.

-Write headlines that highlight the story and is easy to search from google.

-Encourage participation from readers on blogs, comments and submissions.

-Get to the facts quickly because you don’t have much time with your audience.

-Make sure the article is easy to read and is broken up with visuals.

-Use short, descriptive sentences to get the information out there more quickly.

-Try to drive traffic with your content and the way you present it.
